WHOLE FOODS' NICKELS FOR NONPROFITS: Now through Jan. 18
Help feed neighbors in need this holiday season while shopping at Whole Foods in Charlottesville. Customers will receive five cents for each reusable grocery bag they use, which they can either keep or donate to the Nickels for Nonprofits program, which benefits the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank through Jan. 18.

HARVEST FEAST FOOD DRIVE: Nov. 1 - 30
Harris Teeter hosts its annual Harvest Feast Food Drive and Donation Card Campaign in support of its 20 hunger-relief partners, including BRAFB. Visit a Harris Teeter store in Charlottesville or Warrenton to donate non-perishable food items. You can also buy $1, $5 and $20 donation cards at check-out. SCOUTING FOR FOOD: Nov. 8 - Winchester
Area Boy Scouts will be scavenging neighborhoods for food donations during our largest annual fall food drive. The food provided through this collection gives us a much-needed boost as we head into the busy winter months. Leave a bag of food at your doorstep and your local Scouts will do the rest!
HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE: Nov. 20 – Dec. 18
NBC29, Z95.1 and The Daily Progress are asking you to join them in nourishing hungry neighbors for the winter holidays. Just drop nonperishable food donations in marked Food Bank barrels at Kroger stores in Staunton, Waynesboro and Charlottesville.
VALLEY BUSINESSES GIVE BACK: Nov. 17 to Dec. 31
Calling all businesses and organizations in the Shenandoah Valley! The Hershey Company and the Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce challenge you to join them in the 2014 Valley Businesses Give Back. This is a community-wide food and fund drive that provides the opportunity for your business or organization to Give Back to our hungry Valley neighbors.

TWELFTH NIGHT CONCERT: Sunday, Jan. 4
It’s your last chance to savor the sounds of the holiday season. Choirs from the Staunton Church of the Brethren Choir and the Olivet Presbyterian Church will combine to perform in their 14th annual post-holiday concert. Freewill offering.
FEEDING VIRGINIA: Through June 2015
Media Members of the Virginia Association of Broadcasters (VAB) will support their local food banks through PSAs, spreading the word about hunger in their communities, as well as providing easy ways for their audience members to donate directly to the food bank serving their area. In addition, the VAB will be seeking corporate partners to join in the fight against hunger. This campaign will run through summer 2015.
AUGUSTA EXPO MONTHLY MARKET AND YARD SALE
While hosting this monthly event, Augusta Expo is helping the hungry, too. The event occurs on the first Saturday of each month. Admission is $1 or non-perishable food donations for the Food Bank.
