Information about the 2018 Bank of America Give A Meal campaign:

What are the campaign dates?
October 15, 2018 – December 31, 2018. Matching funds may be depleted before 12/31.

How can I contribute?
You can participate in the Give A Meal campaign only at www.bankofamerica.com/give.

Who will benefit from Give A Meal?
Donations collected through Give A Meal will be distributed to Feeding America, OR to designated local Feeding America member food banks including the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. The donor determines the end beneficiary. All donations are tax-deductible and recognized as gifts to Feeding America; you will receive an emailed receipt from Feeding America.

What portion of my donation will go to Feeding America or my local Food Bank?
All proceeds – 100% of donations – made through Give A Meal will be distributed to Feeding America OR the local food bank you designate (hopefully BRAFB). Bank of America covers the operating costs of the program.

How do I allocate funds to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank?
To give to BRAFB, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to: bankofamerica.com/give
  2. Click the “DONATE” button on the campaign website.
  3. A pop-up box will appear asking for your billing zip code – that will allow you to see a list of Food Bank(s) in your community.
  4. You will see the donation form, showing your Food Bank information. From here, click the “Your Local Food Bank” button. Assuming your billing zip code is in BRAFB’s service area, your gift will be matched 2:1 and designated to our use. We will receive the funds in Spring 2019.

Is there a maximum donation an individual can make? A minimum donation?
The minimum donation that an individual can make online is $5. There is no maximum donation an individual can make; however, only the first $1,000 of the donation made will be matched, no matter how many times or forms of payment used. For example, if an individual donates $500 on one day, and donates $700 another day, only $1,000 of the total will be matched.
