Valley Businesses Give Back

The 2019 VBGB Food and Fund Drive takes place June 3 to June 21!

This year’s food and fund drive has concluded. Stay tuned for final results!

Valley Businesses Give Back (VBGB) is an annual food and fund drive led by local businesses and organizations in the Shenandoah Valley to raise money and collect non-perishable food to help stock the shelves of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank during the summer months. In 2019, 34 businesses joined the effort this year, at 58 locations throughout the central Shenandoah Valley to donated enough food and funds to help provide 79,131 meals to your neighbors in need — making this year a record breaking year!

First launched in 2011, Valley Businesses Give Back has collectively raised more than $53,500 and brought in more than 69,000 pounds of food to benefit the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.  All told, we’ve been able to provide 272,039 meals to Shenandoah Valley families. We are grateful for the continued partnership and support of this effort from Hershey Chocolate of Virginia as well as the Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce Serving Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbridge County, and Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce.
