Here’s how you can help.

1. Dial 1-800-708-8229
   
2. You’ll hear this message when you dial:
   • Thanks for taking action to urge your senators to not take away food and health care from children, seniors, veterans and people with disabilities. In a moment, you’ll be connected to your senator’s office. When someone answers, please tell them your name, the town/city you are from in the state, that you’re a constituent.  
     
3. Urge the senator to vote NO on cuts to SNAP and Medicaid in a budget reconciliation bill that would hurt children, seniors and people with disabilities in your state.  
   
4. If no one answers, leave a voicemail. Once you’re done, hang up and dial back to be connected to your other senator. 
   
   Sample script: Hi, this is [Your Name] and I’m a constituent. I’m calling to urge [Representative/Senator’s Name] to Vote NO on slashing SNAP and Medicaid!
   Food assistance and health care programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Medicaid are vital lifelines for people facing hardships, including children, veterans, seniors, and adults working for low wages. They provide timely, targeted support that help our hardworking neighbors access the food and medical care we all need to thrive.
   
   As your constituent, I strongly urge you to reject any legislation that would cut SNAP or Medicaid funding.
