After nearly 20 years in the Marine Corps, on the day of my promotion to Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, I, LtGen John Archer Lejeune, am hosting this race to highlight a fundamental skill of all Marines: Land Navigation (Land Nav). This race is FREE to enter and will be conducted in a Rogine-style format. Teams will navigate to as many control points as possible in 3 hours while tracking their progress on a punch card. Although the race is free, participants are asked to give back to the community by donating to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
