Coolest Pet of the Shenandoah Valley 2026

This Hunger Action Month, the Shenandoah Valley Kiwanis Club is hosting a “Coolest Pet of the Shenandoah Valley 2026” contest with the goal of raising $10,000 for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank’s School Break Box Program.

Beginning September 8, residents of Staunton-Augusta County-Waynesboro communities are invited to submit their pet and vote to determine the “2026 Coolest Pet in the Shenandoah Valley.” Voting will close at 9:00 p.m. on September 29.

All contest proceeds will go to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank’s School Break Box program in the Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro areas. This Food Bank program provides non-perishable, easy-to-prepare food for children and their families during holiday breaks when school meals are unavailable.
