  • HPI Workshop: Neighbor-Centered practices

    Join Manager of Health Initiatives Kara Snapp of the Food Bank for this month's Healthy Pantry Initiative workshop.
    The topic is Neighbor-Centered practices, and the workshop will cover transportation barriers and serving non-English speakers.

  • TEFAP Training (morning session)

    Join Food Bank staff for another opportunity to complete annual training for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). A representative from all TEFAP agencies must complete this training at least once annually. This training provides a comprehensive overview of the program, as well as the responsibilities of food pantries, volunteers, and staff members participating in TEFAP distributions. We encourage you to share this opportunity with your staff and volunteers.

     

    Registration is required.
    Morning and evening sessions are identical.

  • Partner Town Hall

    Join partner food pantries and meal programs and Food Bank Partner and Guest Engagement staff in our monthly Partner Town Hall. These events are opportunities to discuss special topics, share best practices, connect with other Food Bank partners in open discussion, and receive essential updates from the Food Bank.   • SNAP Application Assistance Workshop (in-person only)

    Blue Ridge Medical Center 4038 Thomas Nelson Hwy, Arrington, VA, United States

    This workshop will provide a practical overview of how to support guests/patients through the SNAP application — both online and on paper. We will walk through application options, talk about best practices for assisting applicants, and complete some practice applications.
    This workshop is open to any partner in the BRAFB network who has completed SNAP 101.
