Enjoy an evening with the cherished local food historian Leni Sorenson of Albemarle County for the second installment of a three-part outdoor film series. Leni will present the film In the Season: The Edna Lewis Story followed by an educational talk. Enjoy a personal food tasting inspired by Edna’s famed cooking.

Learn about Edna Lewis, African American Chef, James Beard Living Legend Award winner and author best known for her books on Southern Cuisine. Over her lifetime Edna Lewis became one of the keepers of history, tradition and culture of true Southern cooking and was an early contributor to the farm to table movement. Her writing and recipes continue to guide chefs and cooks committed to using fresh, seasonal, regional food sources, no matter where they live. Suggested donation $35 benefits the local Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Pre-registration required.
