Every Gift Matters – Especially Now

May 6-12th is Nurses Week and May 11th-17th is employee appreciation week. This year, Sentara Martha Jefferson wants to do something to help support and give back to the community. Over the past few months, the community has done a tremendous job supporting healthcare workers by staying home to help flatten the curve, provide meals for the front-line staff, and donate masks and other needed items. Sentara Martha Jefferson wants to thank those in our community who are staying home to help flatten the curve but who now may be struggling.

Every $1 you give can help the Food Bank provide approximately 4 meals. Thank you for walking beside us on this journey. Like you, we believe community matters, and that everyone should have enough to eat.

All donations go towards supporting the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank’s COVID-19 emergency response initiatives:

  1. Supplying and supporting the network of 205 food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters and established partners who help operate numerous child and senior nutrition programs
  2. Emphasizing outreach to seniors who may become more isolated during the outbreak
  3. Responding as possible to requests from new partners to help nourish seniors, children and other vulnerable populations
